Bob started working for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game in 1986 while attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he received his BS and MS in Fisheries Science. In 1990, he started working on the Alaska Peninsula in Port Moller and retired in 2022 after 33 years, during which he managed the commercial salmon fisheries. In 2023, he started set gillnetting on the Alaska Peninsula.

Chris was born in 1983 in Seward Alaska. He grew up fishing with his father. Seining in Kodiak in the summers and long lining in the gulf of Alaska in the winters. After high school, he got his license and worked abroad on tugs for five years transiting the Panama Canal 6 times and almost sailing all the way to Idaho up the Columbia River. He moved back to Alaska in 2008 and started fishing in the Alaskan Peninsula.
